_The Council on Communication Affairs shall be responsible for the dissemination of information to the membership and to the general public through regular Society publications and other media; communications with affiliated chapters and to members living in areas of the state without an organized chapter; and any other related activities identified by the Board of Directors.

Discussion/Decisions:

• Minutes from November 15, 2010 meeting were approved.
• It was discussed that each TSHP Council will be assigned a Communications Council member liaison to provide information and news for membership distribution via TSHP website or some other mechanism.
• Facebook will be used to provide a short description of TSHP Council activities and tasks.
• A “Go to Meetings” demo was used to demonstrate the use of the technology to provide additional educational opportunities and meeting capabilities for the membership.
• Local Chapter websites were discussed. We will continue to offer this service to locals who are interested in TSHP creating and maintaining their sites.
• It was discussed that the Education Affairs Council and Communication Affairs will explore recording and providing Annual Seminar sessions as webinar sessions after the meeting in April.
• A trial Webinar will be produced in the Spring in conjunction with Baylor Health-System to learn more about capabilities and opportunities for this vehicle to provide CPE.
