Pharmacy Management Section
_The TSHP Bylaws were amended in June 2009 to establish the TSHP Pharmacy Management Section. For a copy of the Bylaws, click here or see the Pharmacy Management area of the bylaws below.
The purpose of this Section is to serve our members who practice in pharmacy management through improved communication opportunities around practice issues that are non-competitive, through educational opportunities of interest to pharmacy managers, and through mentoring and leadership development opportunities. This section will assist TSHP in achieving the strategic goals and objectives of the organization through active involvement of section members on task forces as deemed necessary by the section officers and as approved by the Executive Committee.
If you have suggestions for activities for the Section to engage in, or management issues that we should address, please contact any of the Section Executive Committee officers listed below.
To date, the Section has planned educational sessions for the 2010 & 2011 Annual Seminar, started work on issues related to internships, and begun to compile a list of contact information for hospital pharmacy directors across Texas.
Membership in the section is free and, although the section is targeted to directors and managers, any member can be join the section. What a bargain!!!
